Happy Friday! Here’s an early “issue” of Brew News because yours truly is hitting the road for a little Fourth of July vacation next week. It’s essential to note that Greenbush WILL be open on the Fourth of July for our usual noon ’til 10 p.m. hours, and every day around it like normal. We hope to see lots of your happy, thirsty selves in the taproom. Anyway, let’s get to it–here’s what’s coming up for the month of July:

Wednesday, July 10: Tap Feature at Stout Barrel House & Galley in Chicago, IL

Sample Sunspot, Brother Benjamin and a TBD specialty Greenbush brew at this great spot in downtown Chicago. Exact times TBD, but they open at 4 p.m., so come on down!

Thursday, July 11: Local Flavor at World of Beer in Evanston, IL

Head to the new World of Beer in Evanston to check out five different Greenbush beers. We love that these guys devote a night to local breweries and we’re psyched to be one of the upcoming features. Nothing like a nice evening in Evanston with some great brews, right?

Wednesday, July 17: Beer & Food Pairings at The Monkey’s Paw in Chicago, IL

Join us at this newly re-opened gastropub in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Starting at 6 p.m. CDT, they’ll be pairing Greenbush beers with regional seasonal cuisine.

Thursday, July 18: Green CIty Market Chef BBQ Benefit in Chicago, IL

One of our favorite events to have participated in a couple years ago, we’ll be back at the Green City Market Chef BBQ Benefit in Chicago this year! This grand picnic is held every July in Lincoln Park and features dishes from over 100 Chicago chefs using the bounty of the market. Locally made beer (over here!), wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. Tickets start at $125 for adults and $25 for kids and are still available here (for now!).

Thursday, July 18: Beer & Food Pairings at Revolucion Steakhouse in Chicago, IL

The same night of the Green City Market, an awesome new Mexican steakhouse in Chicago (I can say that because I’ve actually been there) will be serving up food paired with Greenbush beers. This is a cool new spot on Broadway in Lakeview that you should check out on the night of the 18th or any other time… doesn’t hurt that they’re rockin’ Greenbush beer plus many more craft selections on tap and in bottles on a daily basis.

Saturday, July 20: Naperville Ale Fest in Naperville, IL

Join us at Naperville’s first craft beer festival! The inaugural festival will take place on Saturday July 20, 2013 from 1-5 p.m. (open at noon for anyone who snagged now-sold-out VIP tickets!). The festival will feature over 180 unique beers from craft breweries around the country, food from some of Naperville’s best restaurants and live music. General admission tickets are still available for $45 each.

Saturday, July 20: Michigan Bier Celebration in Frankenmuth, MI

Taking place July 21 at Heritage Park’s Harvey Kern Pavilion in downtown Frankenmuth from 4-11 p.m., the Michigan Bier festival will feature all the sights and sounds of a classic summer beer event. Teaming up with the non-profit organization Charity Celebration, Frankenmuth Brewery hopes that the Michigan Bier Celebration will help continue the beautification and preservation of our historic town. General admission and VIP tickets are available for $10 and $25, respectively.

Friday, July 26 & Saturday July 27: Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival in Ypsilanti, MI

Just like last year, this year’s Summer Beer Fest should be nothing if not a blast. It’s year 16 (!!!) of the festival and we’re bringing somewhere between 40-50 beers, including some of our staples, specialties, super specialties and, of course, a number of experimental beers you may only catch at the fest. We’ll also have a brand new exclusive t-shirt and tank top available for sale at the festival. Want a partial sneak peek of the design?

Head to Riverside Park in Ypsilanti on Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 1-6 p.m. Tickets for Friday are $30 in advance and still available, but Saturday’s tickets are all sold out. Tickets include 15 drink tokens, each redeemable for a 3 oz. pour (with additional tokens available). Party on, Wayne.

Also, since it’s early in the month, the Trion Tavern Brew Haven is happening on August 3 in New Haven, IN and it’s going to be awesome, just like last year. That’s it for the month of July! As always, stay tuned to Facebook and our events page for all the up-to-date details as we receive them. Have a wonderful Fourth of July!
