Brew News: September

Scott being the fearless leader he is and hanging the sign for our new space, the Greenbush Annex

It’s hard to believe I am actually/already writing a SEPTEMBER brew news. Time flies when you’re having fun or when you work at Greenbush Brewing Co… or when you’re having fun working at Greenbush Brewing Co.? That’s more like it! As Labor Day weekend comes to a close, a sea of cars congest I-94 Westbound, some carrying “precious cargo”. While you may think this is the end of our “busy season”, and in part this may be true, it’s really just the beginning of us having more time to focus on other things to busy ourselves with (or the things that were forgotten in midst of the craziness). In case you didn’t know, the Annex is open (and beer-less, for now). However, we’re doing everything in our damned power to have beer flowing in that killer new space for you guys as soon as humanly possible. If you have yet to check it out, it has all the merch your GB loving hearts can handle and plenty of delicious meats and cheeses to keep your mouths happy (even without beer!). With that being said, here’s where you can find us besides both sides of Sawyer Road this month:

Thursday, September 4: Tap Takeover @ Table & Tap in Flint, MI

If this sounds familiar you’re not crazy! Originally planned for late August but moved to this Thursday (TOMORROW). Anyway, we’re taking over 15 taps starting at 5pm and if you live in the area you should certainly be there. The last time I (Emily here) have been to Flint? 2006 for a Lil’ Wayne concert. Don’t judge! What happened in 2006 stays in 2006. Besides a tap takeover filled with good beer and food is an appropriate redemption trip, right?

Thursday, October 2: Barrel-Aged Beer Fest @ The Buck in St. Joe

I heard something about 25+ barrel-aged beers being on tap including some GB ones. Need I say more?

Saturday, October 4: Vander Fest @ Vander Mill Cider in Spring Lake, MI

If you haven’t been to Vander Mill before, the 5th Annual Vander Fest is the perfect excuse… or opportunity! What’s it all about? Fall, craft beer and cider. If you like any or all of those things pencil this in.

Before I go (for real this time), rumor has it there might be another Greenbush golf outing in the works. Stay tuned!
